Crisp, clear clamoring in my ear.
The blaring buzzing
You pardoned me from Hell,
the ambient spell of shame and dismay.
And I remember, clear as day.
The kind stranger who waved their fears away,
assuring them that I’m in no danger.
My mind was cluttered with muddled dreams,
my hope in shambles,
but for a moment in between the tangle of despair and confusion,
I broke through the illusion of failed existence.
Because you looked through it all, and saw me,
and for the first time, I was me.
So I want to thank you for your mercy,
because you helped set me free.
