What makes you happy?
Noon rays shine through,
reflecting rainbows off this morning’s tears.
My answer will never make sense to you,
because it is the darkness we both fear.
Dragon and tiger collide and dance,
feeding off and with each other
in chaotic romance.
A sister and brother,
if one starves, I fall apart.
Glowing fire and illumination,
a shadow lurking in the dark.
An overfed fire burns ravenous
leaving my winter heart cavernous
What makes me happy?
Embracing my sadness,
watching the snow at night,
dancing in moonlight.
But you see this as madness,
so I can never be happy.
It’s too much to ask you to love both sides of me.
